2. Quick non-alcoholic mulled wine with a hint of apple
Dreaming of making your very own mulled wine from scratch? Don't worry, creating your own mulled wine doesn't have to be a huge project that takes time away from the already stressful Christmas season. Making your own mulled wine also gives you the chance to put a personal touch on the classic Christmas drink. Start with the recipe below, but don't be afraid to experiment with the flavors! Maybe you want more cloves or less cardamom? This mulled wine is also non-alcoholic and is suitable for children, pregnant women, or anyone who simply doesn't want to drink alcohol.
Recipe for non-alcoholic apple mulled wine:
- 1 liter apple juice
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 cinnamon sticks, ground
- 1½ tsp cardamom seeds
- ½ tsp whole cloves
- 1 star anise
- 1 dried bitter orange peel
- Apple for garnish
How to make non-alcoholic mulled wine:
- Bring 2 dl of the apple juice to a boil with the spices and honey. Let it boil for a couple of minutes.
- Then remove the pan from the heat and add the rest of the juice.
- Finish by straining the mulled wine, pour it into a bottle or container, and then heat the drink when serving. Tip! Let it steep - the longer the mulled wine sits, the more spice flavor it will develop.
Serving tip! Top with cored apple cut into thin slices.

3. Crispy baguette with chèvre
Who doesn't love the combination of cheese and bread? This snack really has the best of both worlds and is almost foolproof.
How to make it:

- Then top the bread with chèvre, pear, and honey.
- Salt and pepper to taste.

4. Gingerbread cookies with cheese and fig
A classic Christmas coffee break favorite is to serve cheese on gingerbread cookies. The classic version often includes blue cheese on the gingerbread cookies - but it doesn't have to be that way! Try using a different cheese, preferably one with a creamy texture. Cheeses like taleggio, brie, chèvre, chaumes, kaltbach creamy or stilton work wonderfully on the slightly spiced base of gingerbread cookies. Top with your favorite jam for an extra layer of flavor.
