Serving guests a homemade pizza feels luxurious, fresh, and professional! Plus, a homemade pizza on the grill becomes really, really good. Grill pizza on a gas grill
Follow the instructions below to grill your pizza on a gas grill:
Preparations:
-
Place the pizza steel on the grill grate.
-
Turn on all burners and let the gas grill reach high heat (about 300º). The steel should be on for at least 10 minutes to get hot enough.
Cooking:
-
Sprinkle flour over your pizza steel and then place the pizza on it using a pizza peel or pizza tray.
-
Turn off the burners directly under your pizza steel to let the pizza bake with indirect heat.
-
Close the lid and grill for about 5-10 minutes (for thinner pizzas: 5-7 minutes, for thicker pizzas: about 7-10 minutes).
Serving:
-
Check that the pizza is done. The pizza is ready when the edges and bottom are golden brown and crispy.
-
Remove the pizza using a pizza peel or pizza tray.
-
Turn off the grill and let the pizza steel remain to cool down.
