Grilling tips meat

Grilling meat is something that belongs to summer but is not always as easy as it sounds. That’s why we have gathered 4 simple tips to follow for you who are going to grill meat!

1. Marinate the meat

Marinating the meat before placing it on the grill adds extra juiciness and flavor. You can easily make a grill marinade at home with just a few ingredients, and let the meat rest in the marinade for a while before grilling it.

2. Let the meat sit out

Plan ahead so that the meat has time to reach room temperature before you put it on the grill. A cold piece of meat has a longer cooking time than a room temperature one, and it can often look done on the outside but be cold and undercooked on the inside. Therefore, let the meat sit out for a while before cooking it.

3. Brush the grill grate with oil

A common problem when grilling is that the meat sticks to the grill grate. To avoid this, you can brush the grate with a little oil. This way, a greasy film is formed that reduces the risk of the meat burning on.

4. Use a meat thermometer

Avoid the meat becoming raw or dry by using a meat thermometer when grilling. It works just as well to use a thermometer when grilling as when frying, and it helps you achieve the perfect meat every time.

Grilling tips for charcoal grill

Grilling on a charcoal grill with charcoal or briquettes is a method that gives the food a unique and smoky flavor that cannot be compared to much else. However, to succeed with grilling, it is important to prepare the grill before you start grilling.

Empty the grill of old remnants of coal and ash before you fill it with new coal or briquettes. Spread the coal out as you want it, and once you have lit the grill, it is important to be patient. A charcoal grill takes a little longer to prepare than a gas grill because it is important to get a good bed of embers before you put the food on. When the coal or briquettes have turned gray or white from ash, the grill is ready to use.

Don't forget that you can adjust the temperature in a charcoal grill by opening or closing the ventilation holes. These are usually found in the lid and on the underside of the grill.

Grilling tips for gas grill

While a charcoal grill needs to be prepared and heated for about 30 minutes, the gas grill can be ready in just a few minutes. Preheat the gas grill for 5-10 minutes to get a good base for grilling.

If it gets too hot or cold in a gas grill, you can easily adjust the heat by increasing or decreasing the gas supply. If your grill has multiple burners, you can also choose how many to use at the same time.

When grilling on a gas grill, food can easily stick. To avoid this, you can marinate or brush the meat or vegetables with a little oil before placing them on the grill. This way, the food gets a nice surface that doesn't stick to the grate. Also, avoid moving or flipping the food too often or opening the lid, as this can easily cause it to stick and the cooking time may be longer.
