How to make your own Christmas candy - tips & recipes

Christmas candy is for many an obvious part of Christmas. Whether it's mint cookies, sweet caramels, or chocolate-covered nougat, Christmas candy is an excellent way to add your own sweet touch to the holiday. At Dorre, you will find several recipes for Christmas candy that will make both adults and children salivate.

Bake Christmas candy with chocolate

Making Christmas candy with chocolate is as simple as it is delicious. Create chocolate treats by dipping figs, almonds, gingerbread cookies, or nuts in melted baking chocolate, which you then let harden. The result is very simple, yet tasty Christmas candy.

Are you instead in the mood to try something with greater flavor variation? Then homemade chocolate-covered ice cream could be the right option. Homemade chocolate-covered ice cream is much tastier than the kind you can buy in the store, and you can choose what you want to include in it. You can choose a chocolate with a higher cocoa content and a better coconut fat for better flavor. The simple recipe for chocolate-covered ice cream can be made in several different ways - with liqueur, saffron, licorice, gingerbread spice, pomegranate seeds, or nuts.

If you want to replace coconut fat with butter, that's fine; you take 75 grams of butter for 200 grams of chocolate.

Baka glutenfri chokladfudge - enkelt recept till julbak

Gluten-free chocolate fudge recipe

Another festive recipe that includes chocolate is chocolate fudge with a salty touch of nuts. These pieces are wonderfully delicious and very easy to prepare.

Ingredients for about 50 pcs:

  • 400 g dark chocolate
  • 400 g (1 can) condensed milk
  • 1.25 dl salted peanuts or almonds to taste

Tips: If you melt the chocolate directly in a saucepan, do it carefully over low heat. Stir occasionally and remove the saucepan from the heat when just over half has melted, so the rest will melt with the heat that is already there. Make sure the chocolate does not start to boil, as it can then become grainy.

Do this:

  1. Melt the chocolate, either in a water bath or directly in a saucepan.
  2. Add the condensed milk and the salted peanuts. Stir until mixed.
  3. Pour the batter into a small form lined with baking paper. Spread it out. Place it in the cold and let it set.
  4. Take the hardened chocolate mass out onto a cutting board. Cut into small pieces.
  5. Then store in a plastic container with a lid in the fridge with parchment paper or baking paper between the layers.
