Create a spooky atmosphere on Halloween with these bat cupcakes! Classic chocolate muffins topped with chocolate frosting and decorated with cookies as bat wings. A perfect treat for Halloween for both big and small!

Ingredients

Chocolate muffins:

100 g butter
2 eggs
1 dl milk
3 dl all-purpose flour
4 tbsp cocoa
1.5 tsp vanilla sugar
2 tsp baking powder
2 dl granulated sugar

Chocolate frosting:

60 g room temperature butter
5 dl powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla sugar
100 g cream cheese
0.5 dl cocoa

Dekoration:

1 pack of Oreos
Candy eyes 

Gör såhär:

  1. Set the oven to 200°C and place muffin cups on a muffin tray.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the milk.
  3. Whisk eggs and granulated sugar until fluffy with an electric mixer.
  4. Mix the wheat flour, cocoa, vanilla sugar, and baking powder in a bowl and stir the dry ingredients into the egg mixture. 
  5. Mix until you have a smooth batter and add the butter and milk while stirring. 
  6. Distribute the batter into the muffin tins and bake in the middle of the oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the muffins are fully baked. 
  7. Take the muffins out of the oven and let them cool. 
  8. While the muffins cool, mix butter, powdered sugar, cocoa, and cream cheese until smooth and creamy frosting. 
  9. Spread or pipe the chocolate frosting on your muffins. Split the Oreo cookies in half and decorate with eyes and half cookies as wings.

Pumpkin buns are a super easy treat for Halloween and are based on a classic recipe for deliciously spooky cinnamon buns. By tying a string around the dough, the buns bake into little pumpkins, ready to scare up some fun at the Halloween party! 

Ingredients

Bulldeg:

25 g yeast
8 dl wheat flour
3 dl milk
50 g butter
0.5 dl granulated sugar
1 tsp salt

Fyllning:
100 g room temperature butter
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 dl granulated sugar

Garnering:

Egg
Pearl sugar
Roasting string

Gör såhär:

  1. Heat the milk to 37°C.
  2. Crumb the yeast into a large bowl and pour in the milk. Melt the butter in a saucepan, pour it into the bowl and stir until the yeast has dissolved.
  3. Add sugar, salt, and almost all the wheat flour and knead the dough until it releases from the edges. Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and let it rise for about 30 minutes.
  4. Mix the filling ingredients in a bowl and stir together until you have a smooth batter. 
  5. Flour a baking board or work surface, take up the dough and knead it smoothly with the rest of the flour. Roll out the dough into a large square and spread the filling in an even layer. 
  6. Roll up the dough from the long side and cut the roll into pieces about 2 cm wide. 
  7. Place each piece of dough on four crossed baking strings and tie the ends together on top of the bun. 
  8. Let the buns rise once more under a kitchen towel for about 20 minutes.
  9. Set the oven to 250°C. When the buns have finished rising, brush them with beaten egg and sprinkle with pearl sugar.
  10. Bake in the middle of the oven for about 8-10 minutes.
  11. When the buns are ready and have cooled slightly, cut off the cooking string and enjoy the super sweet pumpkin buns.

Scary skull-shaped Halloween cookies

In this recipe, we make raspberry caves with a Halloween twist! Instead of the classic round cookies, you shape the raspberry caves into spooky skulls filled with your favorite jam. A really delicious pastry with a creepy appearance, perfect for ghostly gatherings!

Ingredients

200 g butter
1 dl granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla sugar
4.5 dl wheat flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp light syrup
Jam

Gör såhär:

  1. Set the oven to 175°C
  2. Mix room temperature butter and granulated sugar in a bowl.
  3. Add flour, vanilla sugar, baking powder, and syrup and work until you get a dough.
  4. Shape the dough into an elongated roll and divide into about 20 pieces.
  5. Rollo all the dough pieces into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Flatten the dough balls and shape them into a drop or like a pear to get the shape of a skull.
  6. Create dents in the cookies for eyes and mouth using the back of a teaspoon and fill the holes with your favorite jam.
  7. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes.

Scary witch fingers with almonds and jam

These spooky cookies are perfect for a hair-raising Halloween treat or party! With almonds as nails and blood-red jam, you can create 36 creepy witch fingers for the snack table with this recipe. A frightfully simple recipe that is perfect if you want to bake something really fun for Halloween with the kids.

Ingredients

200 g butter
4.5 dl wheat flour
1 dl granulated sugar
1 tbsp vanilla sugar
36 blanched almonds
Raspberry jam or strawberry jam for garnishing

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C.
  2. Mix room temperature butter, wheat flour, granulated sugar, and vanilla sugar in a bowl to form a shortcrust pastry and place in the fridge for about 30 minutes. 
  3. Take the dough out of the fridge and take out a baking tray with parchment paper. Divide the dough into 36 equal parts and shape the pieces into elongated lengths like fingers. 
  4. Place the dough fingers on the baking sheet and place an almond at one end with the pointed side facing out so that it looks like a nail. If you want the fingers to look really realistic, you can use the back of a knife or a fork to create folds on the fingers. 
  5. Bake the tray with the witch fingers in the middle of the oven for about 10 minutes.
  6. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the shortcrust pastry fingers cool. 
  7. Ring over jam at the end without almonds or dip in a bowl of jam so that it looks like the fingers are chopped off. 
  8. Serve and enjoy some really spooky witch fingers!
