Stainless steel without coating
Premium 3-ply with KFCC G8 Ceramica™
Trivence combines advanced 3-ply construction with KFCC Ceramica G8, an 8th-generation ceramic non-stick coating developed to perform over time – not just from first use.
The construction – why the pan performs evenly
The frying pan is built in 3 mm 3-ply:
- 0.5 mm stainless steel (SS304) – durable and hygienic interior
- 2 mm solid aluminum core – fast and even heat distribution
- 0.5 mm magnetic stainless steel (SS430) – stable induction base
The aluminum core spreads heat quickly across the entire cooking surface and reduces temperature variation.
The stainless steel outer base makes the pan compatible with all stovetops, including induction.
8th-generation ceramic non-stick
KFCC Ceramica G8 is the result of long-term material development from KFCC (Korea Fine Ceramic Co., Ltd.), founded in 1987 and the first in the world to commercialize functional ceramic non-stick based on sol-gel technology.
The coating is:
- Completely PFAS-free
- Free from PTFE, PFOA and PFOS
- Mineral-based
- Based on water and alcohol as solvents
What is sol-gel technology?
Sol-gel is a process in which ceramic particles are applied in liquid form and then cured into a dense, homogeneous structure.
Unlike traditional enamel, the process requires no extreme firing temperatures, which provides better control over the microstructure and improved durability.
The result is a hard, heat-resistant and even surface with stable non-stick performance.
Documented improvements in G8
G8 builds on previous generations through:
- Improved ceramic particle structure
- Denser and more homogeneous coating film
- Greater resistance to micro-wear
Test results
✔ Approximately 30% longer non-stick lifespan than G7
✔ Approximately 70–80% longer lifespan than G6 (depending on test method)
✔ Up to 100% improved durability in the non-stick function
Tested according to internal KFCC protocols and the European standard EN 12983-1:2023.
How G8 has been tested – and why it is better than G7
To ensure that G8 is truly an improvement, it has been tested directly against previous generations, including G7.
The tests are designed to mimic real use and combine:
- High temperature (up to 300 °C)
- Repeated heating
- Cooking without fat
- Mechanical abrasion
In one of the tests, the pan is heated to 300 °C and then allowed to cool. Eggs are then cooked without fat in repeated rounds. The test continues until the non-stick performance breaks down.
The result shows that G8 on average withstands about 30% more use cycles than G7 before the surface loses its release properties.
In addition to this, the coating is tested according to the European standard EN 12983-1:2023, where both abrasion and fat-free cooking are included.
The difference is due to an improved ceramic structure that makes the coating denser and more resistant to wear.
How to use your Trivence frying pan correctly
Proper use is crucial – especially on induction.
-
Avoid boost mode
Boost provides extremely rapid power input that can overheat the core. Use medium-high heat. -
Do not heat an empty pan at maximum power
Heating an empty pan too much can cause unnecessary strain. -
Use fat
A thin film of fat improves release and protects the surface. -
Adjust the heat
Lower the heat once the ingredients have been added. -
Avoid thermal shock
Do not run cold water into a hot pan. Let it cool naturally.
Care instructions
- Wash before first use
- Use wooden, plastic or silicone utensils
- Avoid metal utensils and steel wool
- Hand washing is recommended
- Let cool before cleaning
Proper use and care are essential for long service life – regardless of coating type.
Premium 3-ply without coating
Professional performance in stainless steel
Trivence in stainless steel is an uncoated frying pan developed for maximum control, high heat resistance and perfect searing.
Unlike a coated pan, performance here is based on the properties of the material and the right technique.
The construction – same stable foundation
The frying pan is built in 3 mm 3-ply:
- 0.5 mm stainless steel (SS304) – durable and hygienic cooking surface
- 2 mm solid aluminum core – fast and even heat distribution
- 0.5 mm magnetic stainless steel (SS430) – stable induction base
Compatible with all stovetops, including induction.
Why choose stainless steel without coating?
An uncoated stainless steel pan:
- Withstands very high temperatures
- Provides perfect browning and caramelization (Maillard reaction)
- Is highly durable
- Naturally ages without losing functionality
- Can be used with all types of utensils
How to use your stainless Trivence correctly
Stainless steel works differently than non-stick.
Proper preheating is essential.
- Preheat the pan over medium-high heat for a couple of minutes.
- Do the water test.
When the droplets bead up and move across the surface without immediately evaporating, the temperature is correct. - Add fat.
- Add the ingredients and leave them until they naturally release.
- Lower the heat if needed – the aluminum core keeps the temperature stable.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the food sticking?
It is often due to the temperature being too low at the start or the food being moved too early.
Is discoloration normal?
Yes. Rainbow coloring or darker patches are a natural reaction to high heat and do not affect performance.
Care instructions
- Wash before first use
- Use medium-high heat
- Avoid overheating an empty pan
- Let cool before cleaning
- Can be dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended
- Discoloration can be removed with stainless steel cleaner
Proper use and care give you a frying pan that can last for many years.
